New York Snow Goose Hunting
Greater Snow Goose Hunts
2021-2022 Snow Goose season dates are October 1 to April 15 for the Western Zone.
You haven’t waterfowl hunted until you have seen snows migrate in from a mile high to land in the decoys in flocks of hundreds at a time or seen thousands of snow geese come in to the decoys at day break and descend on your decoy spread from all 360 degrees of the compass, not knowing what is going to land first.
Every year thousands, upon thousands, of migratory snow geese invade the areas surrounding the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York. The birds surround the majestic, Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, as a staging area during their reverse migration North up the Atlantic coast to the Bylot Islands of Northern Canada.
Captain Jason “Big Jay” Barnes has been chasing these elusive birds for over 20 years and can tell you first hand: “We may win a few battles with these birds but we will never win the war! Anyone that tells you they’re winning the war is lying to ya, straight up! “

It’s not like a mallard hunt or Canada goose hunt, that is for sure. Our guided spring snow goose hunts in NY are November and March. We hunt staged birds and migrating birds that travel south through New York state down the Atlantic flyway.
If you want to have a unique and heart pumping hunting adventure come see us. You won’t forget it. We are booking up now for next year so give us a call. Don’t miss out next season.
